We're nearly two months into Season 10!

We've completed the interior of the spawn tree, rounding out the stump with our spawn donation area and a small work area that players can use.

Thanks to you all we've got plenty of iron donated for new player kits, but we're always looking for food donations! Drop any donations in the marked chests at x20, z0 to help support new incoming players.

The market at spawn has already been open for over a month! It’s slowly being built up with lots of imaginative and themed shops selling a variety of items and services! If you’re interested in selling your items, check out our #market_rules on discord to get started.

It’s spooky season! Just as we’ve done in the past, Vanilla Tyme is celebrating Halloween with a community build area, costume contest, “trick-or-treat” event and a haunted house!

Voting for our costume contest 2025 has begun! Check out the #Costume-contest-2025 channel for all the details. Everyone that participated has received a trophy and the winners will get extra prizes! Voting closes on Saturday, Nov 1st at 9pm EDT. Cast your vote to see your favorite skin take the win!

The Halloween festivities at spawn are taking place in the pale oak biome on the east side of spawn. The area is accessible through the nether portal at 75 east tunnel. The community really came together to chop down the forest trees (over 10 shulkers worth of logs) and terraform the whole area by placing 5+ shulkers of stone and 10+ shulkers of dirt and grass! Thanks to everyone that helped!

For our annual trick-or-treat event, players claimed a small plot and made a Halloween themed build, then filled it with a box of treats! Check the #comps-and-events channel for all the details. Trick-or-treating is in full effect and will continue until Saturday, Nov 1st at 9pm EDT. Be sure to stop by the clock tower to pick up your free shulker of gifts, courtesy of spawn! Then, take the tour to check out the creative Halloween builds and grab more treats from the generous community.

Haunted House 2025

The haunted house is open as of October 30th!

The mysterious mansion in the Halloween area has been deemed safe for visitors. Staff have noted that a magical energy is being emitted from hidden mystical objects throughout the house: 12 crystal fragments, a shulker full of loot, and other items can be found. Can you find all 16 items?

Our Season 10 Nether Tunnel Competition is wrapped! The winner for this season is Reia!

The tunnel was inspired by one of her all time favorite movies, "The Dark Crystal”. Watch Discord for material collection and community dig out information!

This month, TheBuilder3773 is in the spotlight! This impressive castle really caught our eyes. Here's what he had to say about his base this season:

What inspired you to build a castle this season?
I’ve always wanted to build a castle of previous seasons but never prioritized it and just built something else.

How would you describe the overall style or theme of your castle? (Medieval? Fantasy? Gothic? Something else?)
I’d describe it as a medieval gothic castle on the mount overlooking everything around it

Did you plan the build in creative first, or did you design as you went?
I designed as I went and used some templates and other ideas

Which part of the castle are you most proud of?
I’d say I’m most proud of the castle itself it took a lot of detail, planning and building

Do you plan to expand the area around your castle (like a village, wall, or kingdom)? Do you have plans for other builds?
I do plan to build a city in the large cave below, think city of ember but medieval style.

If you could change one thing about your build now that it’s done, what would it be?
I honestly wouldn’t change anything I think it’s perfect

What’s your favorite spot in the castle to hang out or take screenshots?
My favorite place would actually be on the small hill across from the entrance to sit and look at everything.
